City Fest started Friday, September 10, 2010 and on Sunday, September 12, 2010 City Fest came to an end and boy was it a wonderful event for the City of Dothan. There was music, street vendors, Food, and of course the bike races. For a moment I witnessed what Dothan could be on a consistent basis, a city of fun and excitement. Downtown Dothan was filled with a diverse group of people who came together to have fun and enjoy the festivities. The music ranged from down home Country to African Folk music. The food consisted of peanuts, hot dogs, ranch french fries, elephant ears, and much more. The big event was the bike races. There was a bike race for everyone. Bike races for the celebrities, the young, the seasoned and the professional. It was a wonderful event and hopefully they will bring it back next year bigger and better. |
